Most of my students test at one of three South-East London centres. Local routes, the manoeuvres that come up, the bits examiners love. Familiarity is a real advantage.
Hither Green Test Centre
~15 min from Sydenham
Closest centre to base. Mix of South Circular, Lewisham one-way systems, and tight residential roads. Reverse-bay and parallel parking are the most common manoeuvres here.
Bromley Test Centre
~20 min from Sydenham
High traffic, mixed dual carriageway and town centre. Sevenoaks Road, Mason's Hill and Bromley High Street feature regularly. Independent driving section often runs into the A21.
